Exploring the Street Art of Green Bay
July 29
Along with the natural beauty that surrounds Green Bay, visitors can discover dazzlingly creative street murals all over town. While the weather is warm, take a walking tour to see Green Bay's finest local street art.
The Broadway District
Known as a hub of culture for creatives, Green Bay’s Broadway District is home to over 13 public art installations. Spell-binding and bursting with color, these murals are a must-see when wandering the area. Plus, they make for excellent Instagram material.
Olde Main Street District
Renowned for its art studios and green spaces, the area around Olde Main Street is filled with murals begging to be photographed. Here, visitors can marvel at some of the city’s largest wall murals. These include the Green Bay Mural by Beau Thomas, Morty the Moose by Matt Bero, and the Frida Kahlo mural, completed by Candace Cole and her art class.
De Pere
Over the last few years, the public art murals of De Pere have been created to communicate the area’s history and culture. One such piece is the Fox River Industries Mural by James Barany, which features imagery inspired by the town’s role in the logging, sawmill, and paper industries.

Take a Walk Along the East River Trail
April 06
To get out and about safely and enjoyably, Green Bay offers outdoor trails for you to walk off the worry. This month, we feature the East River Trail, which curves about for more than six miles.
While public restrooms and visitor centers may be closed, the prepared walker can still enjoy the fresh air. The first section of trail was carved out in 1990, with additional sections stretching from Green Bay and Bellevue to De Pere and Ledgeview added in successive years. Far from a kept secret, the trails attract local walkers every day, with its shaded wooded areas, sunny open fields, and sprawling parks. Animals won't be shy either. Be on the lookout for deer and rabbits in the woods or look up for sightings of hawks and blue herons. If it's a leisurely stroll you're after, bring along a camera and capture the view from one of a few footbridges spanning the East River.

Badger State Brewing
March 04
You might think Green Bay's stadium district hibernates after the Super Bowl. Far from it! In fact, just down the road from Lambeau Field, lives Badger State Brewing, where a delicious batch of expertly crafted flavors is waiting on tap.
The public-facing facility boasts a Tap Room amidst its 10 thousand feet of brewing space. That's enough room for 15 brewing barrels. Thirsty travelers are invited from all over for a pint, a flight or a growler to go! In addition to Badger State brews, beers native to Wisconsin more generally are available, too. And if it's an explanation for that flavor that you crave, tours are scheduled every Saturday at 3 and 4 pm.
And speaking of explanations, the name of the brewery is no coincidence. The three friends who grew the idea (and the hops) are proud Wisconsin natives and named it after the state animal. Check out more online!

Added features include Juliet viewing boxes adorned with Mediterranean influences such as cherubs, griffins, and gargoyles.
And with an eye and ear to improved acoustics, the stage has been enlarged with a new sound system. Find tickets to hear the Green Bay Civic Symphony as well as tickets to more than 200 other stage performances on the Meyer Theater website.
